Parry's Sail To the Baltic

Leba

August 15, 2008

Left Wlady…..wot not and headed west towards Leba 32m away. Had to motor sail but at least the swell and weather were okay….I even cleaned the stainless steel arch, there must be something wrong with me…..!!

The entrance into Leba was again interesting, another Littlehampton type affair this time with tyres all down the sides of the breakwater, worrying!

Arrived on a pontoon, of the Cherbourg bouncy type and moored up just before the rain came! Nice marina, its got washing machines and dryers, a restaurant and even a chandlery!!!!!!

Steve did some hunter gathering, cycling into town and the crowds yet again….the coastline is wonderful, lots of sandy beaches but its just mobbed! The pavements are crammed with tacky stalls and loads of people making it just too busy.  I guess just like Blackpool at its worst!

Had dinner on Kaikoura with Suzie Too and then were treated to late night fireworks 200m off the back of the boat….prime position yet again!
