Latest update: We have begun plans for another sailing adventure.  This time we will be heading north around the end of April with a destination of the Chesapeake Bay.  Bill has been working hard to get the boat in good shape, and I am working on cleaning out the drawers, lockers and cabinets, trying to decide what to take, and trying to get organized.

Latest update: June 27, 2008 through July 16, 2008 – Upon waking up the day after we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted with a beautiful, calm, picturesque, small bay.  We anchored just inside of the breakwater and decided to stay there instead of tieing up to the sea wall.  Other cruisers that were already there, hailed from Australia, Canada, France and the USA.  Conveniences such...

Latest update: Cast off the lines and got underway… at promptly 1115.  We didn’t get to the boat until about 0930, but then we realized that we forgot the salad and chili that Laura had slaved over the night before, so we sent her back home to get it.  In the mean time, we got our propane tank filled-up and the galley sink unclogged.  Barnacles had grown over the thru-hull fitting.

Latest update: DAY ONE: With all my excitement, I board my boat, give the engine a pull, start her up, warm her up, untie my lines and enjoy the gentle breeze and current pushing me along, through the lagoon, that I am docked in. As I approach this beautiful, brand new white 38 foot something or other, I "pop" the motor into FORWARD gear and…nothing!..that’s right NOTHING ! The 38 ft som...
